Absentee Bidding
See a car in an upcoming auction you want to buy but are busy that day? Don’t worry, you can use our absentee bidding feature. This feature allows you to set a maximum price your willing to pay on a specific lot, and the software will bid for you incrementally up to your maximum offer. This feature is available for free when you register to bid.

Bidder Registration Requirements
Bidders will receive a Bidder number once all the registration items have been received and the payment method for the purchase of the vehicle has been approved. Bidders’ credentials will not be issued unless the application is duly completed without any omissions of all necessary items.
Online Buyer’s Premium: 5 %
NOTE: Payment must be made for each vehicle purchased within 48 hours of auction finishing. The buyer’s premium is added to the hammer price. The premium as well as all other applicable fees and taxes is the responsibility of the buyer at the time of payment.
Requirements For Bidder Agreement Form
- Bidder agreement form is to be submitted with the required items listed below.
- Registration fees (All applications must be received at least 24 hours prior to the auction). (All fees are not refundable. For payment of fees we accept credit cards or personal/business check.)
- Terms and Conditions pages must be signed.
- Government issued ID such as drivers license, identification card or passport. (front and back of drivers license or ID cards needed)
- Proof of current vehicle insurance valid until the date of the auction.
The Bidder Number Will Not Be Released Without Proof Of Available Funds
Please choose one of the following
- Option 1: Spectrum Car Auctions exclusively recommends XXXXX, a national auto finance company, to offer our Spectrum Car Auction customers low monthly financing options. To get more information and on how to get pre-approval, visit XXXXX or call 000.000.0000. $ 30,000 is the minimum pre-approval needed.
- Option 2: Bank Letter of Guarantee for citizens of the United States (Checks for the purchase of vehicles must be made from the account indicated in the Bank Letter Guarantee. Checks issued against another bank or investment account will not be accepted by our finance department). Minimum bid limit of $ 30,000. Bank statement or Verification of Deposit letter is not acceptable as a Letter of Guarantee. The letter must be written on the bank’s letterhead and addressed to “Spectrum Car Auctions “, indicating the dates of the auction
- Option 3: Wire Transfer: Bidders who use bank accounts inside or outside the United States can wire Spectrum Auctions a deposit. This deposit will be applied to any winning bid. Any remaining balance must be paid within 48 hours of the auction finishing. Any deposit not used will be returned to bidder within 5 days after the auction. Minimum deposit amount is $ 30,000.
- Option 4: Pay a bid deposit in the form of credit card or checks (cashier, personal or business). To obtain a minimum bid limit of $90,000, you will be required to make a credit card or check deposit of $ 20,000. If a vehicle is purchased, the remaining amount must be paid in cash, by check or by bank transfer within 48 hours of the auction close. If you are using a personal/business checks as a means of depositSpectrum must receive it at least 5 business days prior to the auction date.
- Because of reporting, you are required to provide your Social Security number if you wish to use this option
Registration Information For Dealers
Dealers are required to provide a copy of their current merchant license AND a copy of your current resale/tax ID. The following additional information is required:
- Verification of Distributor Ownership – If the dealership belongs to you and your name is not on the distributor’s license or government resale/tax ID.
- Dealer Authorization to Bid – If you are a dealer representative and not the principal/owner.
FOREIGN CITIZENS
You can only pay registration fees by credit card, cash, or cashier’s check.
